How can I improve my English Pronunciation?

In any language, correct pronunciation is a very important thing. English is no different.
In one of the lessons I tutored recently, an Asian student wanted to say the word "crab" (he was speaking about food, I believe). However, he pronounced the word incorrectly. Instead, this student said, "crap." Oh no!
Some pronunciation mistakes in English are not so critical; others - like this one - are incredibly important! Saying the wrong thing may make the listener laugh, or (if they don't understand what you were trying to say) very shocked.
Here are a few words that many English learners mispronounce:
crab
sit
beach
fact
When saying those four words, it is extremely important that you do not say them incorrectly. Extremely.
