Prepositions

Prepositions cause a lot of confusion for people learning English. They may think, "Should I use in, or on? I just don't know!" In today's short blog, I will give you a few examples to help you in using the prepositions in and on.
When you are talking about the year, or the month, say in.
She was born in 1958.
They started playing the drums in 2016.
He will go to India in August.
Lara quit her job in March.
When you are talking about a day, or date, use on.
I'm going to the bank on Monday.
Are you free on Thursday?
We'll be in China on September 21st.
I started my new job on May 16th.
