There are many different ways to improve your listening skills in English, but one good way is to watch videos. That's right, you heard me: watch videos!

Some people might feel like they are not really studying unless they are using books, but the truth is that you can learn very much by watching videos or clips online.

Go to YouTube, for example, and search for a movie, show, or actor/actress that you like. Choose a video, and then watch ten minutes of it - without subtitles! Then go back, and watch the same ten minutes with subtitles. Now, watch the clip once again without subtitles.

If you try this a few times each week, your English will surely improve. You might not notice it at first; in fact, for the first few weeks or so, you may even feel like you understand nothing and are just wasting your time. But don't quit! Keep on watching, and in time, you will notice that your listening skills are improving.
